Civil marriages are performed at the Municipality of Larnaka in accordance with the provisions of the Marriage Law of 2003. The interested parties must refer personally to the Civil Marriage office of the Municipality of Larnaka to receive information about the required forms which must be provided for the marriage. Civil marriage can be performed between Cypriots, between non-Cypriots or between a Cypriot and a non-Cypriot. If the couple wishes to opt for the fast-track procedure for their wedding, then they can get married within 1-2 days after submitting the application or within the following 16 days, provided that an appointment has been booked by phone or email at least two weeks before the date of the wedding. The couple can have their wedding ceremony 16 days after the date of submission of the application (at the Municipality’s offices), but not later than 2 months. In this case, the couple must visit the offices of the Municipality,and provide the required documents 16 days before the ceremony, and must pay in advance the wedding fees . The ceremony is held at the Civil Marriage office, at Europe Square Larnaka. Working days and hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:30 p only with appointment. Civil Marriages are performed between non-Cypriot citizens, between Cypriot citizens or between Cypriots and non-Cypriots. Couples who are interested in a civil marriage at the Municipality of Larnaka must contact the Civil Marriage Office by phone or by email,to receive information about the relevant documents which are required. The wedding ceremony is very simple.It lasts for 10-15 minutes. At the end of the ceremony the original marriage certificate is given to the couple, signed by the Marriage Officer. In case the Marriage Certificate must be certified by the Ministry of Justice or the Ministry ofForeign Affairs, the Municipality can provide this Service, at the relevant applicable cost. For true copies of the marriage certificate, the couple can refer to the Civil Marriage Office of the Municipality of Larnaka. Working days and hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.
